Knowledge & uncertainty

Babel and the Limits of Truth

The story of Babel describes humanity reaching toward heaven through a collective human project, only to find communication fractured.

There is a philosophical echo in our search for ultimate knowledge. Science pushes the boundaries of explanation, yet phenomena such as black-hole singularities expose limits in our present theories.

This is a metaphor, not a scientific claim that the universe is unknowable: what if each apparent approach to ultimate truth reveals another boundary?

A starting note for a longer essay about reason, humility and the unknown.
